Capability

Retail-ready and display packaging.

Shelf-ready cases, display trays, drinks and gift packs and branded mailers. Packaging that has to survive the supply chain and then sell the product when it gets there, specified by RightBox and supplied through the partner sites set up for printed work.

Specification

What makes retail packaging work.

Retail packs are judged on how they look, but they fail on how they are built.

Board and print surface

White-top or fully bleached liners for photographic print, brown kraft where the look suits it. Finer flutes such as E and B give a smoother print face.

Retailer standards

Major retailers publish their own shelf-ready requirements: opening, facing, dimensions and disposal. The specification has to meet them or the pack gets rejected.

Line speed

A pack that erects slowly costs more on the line than it saves on board. Constructions are chosen for how they run, not just how they look.

Colour consistency

Brand colours matched to Pantone or CMYK references, proofed before production and stored so every reorder matches.

Finishes

Protective and water-resistant coatings, matt or gloss varnishes, and inside print where the opening experience matters.

Versioning

Seasonal, promotional and regional artwork managed without multiplying stock or set-up costs.

Design

From concept to approved sample.

  • Structural design in 3D CAD, worked around the product and the shelf
  • Dielines checked against the print method and board before artwork is committed
  • Physical samples produced for fit, strength and line trials
  • Digital proofs and colour references approved ahead of production
  • Approved specifications stored, so repeat orders match across sites and countries

Questions

Common questions.

What is shelf-ready packaging?

Packaging designed so a case can be placed straight onto the shelf without unpacking. It protects the product in transit, opens cleanly, presents the product facing the shopper, and is easy to remove and recycle once empty. Most major retailers publish their own standards for it.

Which board suits printed retail packaging?

Finer flutes such as E and B give a smoother surface for print, and white-top or bleached liners carry photographic images better than brown kraft. The right combination depends on how the pack is handled and stacked as well as how it is printed.

Can you match our brand colours?

Yes. Colours are matched to Pantone or CMYK references and proofed before production, with references stored against the specification so repeat runs and different sites produce the same result.

Do you handle seasonal and promotional versions?

Yes. Versioned artwork is managed against one approved structural specification, which keeps set-up costs and stock holding under control across a range of variants.

Does RightBox manufacture the packaging?

No. RightBox specifies and manages supply across a network of 43 partner manufacturing sites, placing printed retail work with the sites equipped for the print method and finish involved.
